Top cowboys from throughout the Midwest will verge on Manhattan this weekend to compete in the most danger sport participated in by man.

“It’s the annual K-State Invitational Bull Bash, Friday and Saturday evenings, Jan. 31, and Feb. 1, 7 o’clock, sponsored by the K-State Rodeo Club at Weber Arena on the Kansas State University campus,” announced Beth McQuade, rodeo club sponsor.

‘Old’ Lindsborg Cowboy Makes Younger Bronc Riders Take Back Seat At Pro Rodeos

“I have two goals for my rodeo career these days, and they’re pretty simple. I intend to always try my hardest, and to have fun while I’m doing it.”

Then, the bareback bronc rider contended, “If I win something along the way, that’s just a plus for trying hard and enjoying myself while I’m doing it.”

Renowned announcer ‘Mr. Rodeo’ optimistic for future of sport

“The next generation of rodeo is coming on strong, and the sport of rodeo with its Western tradition will continue to grow and prosper.”

That’s the prediction of one as close to rodeo as anybody could be. Yet, that optimism has its cloud.
