Wildcat Ranch Rodeo Puts Working Cowboys To Test At University

The 76 Ranch, headquartered at Meade, won the recent Wildcat Ranch Rodeo, sponsored by the K-State Rodeo Club and B Double M, at Weber Arena, on the north end of the Kansas State University campus in Manhattan, according to Brooke Wallace, publicity chair for the college organization.

Championship team members include Aaron Killingsworth, Rocky Martin, Bruce Miller and Ty Swiler.

Twenty teams from the Midwest competed in double mugging, double doctoring, trailer loading and wild cow milking.

Second place team honors went to PT Land & Cattle from northeast Kansas with team members: Kolby Boos, Ben Buyer, Cody Hays and Zack Parkin.

Lonesome Pine Ranch of Chase County came in third with Travis Duncan, Bud Higgs, Troy Higgs and Paul Osgood making up the team.

From Geary County, the JC Cattle Company team of Justin Brown, Korby Effland, Ryan Gibbs and Taylor Schotte came in fourth.

Completing the top five team placings was Hebb Cattle Company of Fall River with Bayle Hebb, Brett Cloud, Jess Coirer and Orbin Stephens mounted.
