Blackjack Saddle Club Plans Show Saturday

Third point show of the year for the Blackjack Saddle Club is Saturday morning, July 15, 9 o’clock, in Burtis Arena at the Stanley Stout Center on Manhattan’s Kansas State University campus, according to Justine Staten, club president.

While all shows are open to the public, club members’ points are tabulated for yearend awards.

Performance and speed events are planned with competition divided into age groups.

Awards are to be presented to the top six riders in each class.

Highpoint rosettes will be given in both performance and speed divisions of each age category.

Concessions will be available on the grounds.

Additional point shows include Sunday, Aug. 6Sunday, Sept. 3; and Sunday, Oct. 8. They will be at Cico Park in Manhattan, starting at 9 o’clock in the morning

A fun show and costume contest are planned Sunday, Oct. 22, also at Cico Park.

“Black Jack Saddle Club is dedicated to our members,” Staten said. “We strive to make each event a pleasant and safe environment for all participants.”
