Blackjack Saddle Club Plans Show Saturday
Second point show of the year for the Blackjack Saddle Club is Saturday morning, June 17, 9 o’clock, at Cico Park in Manhattan, according to Justine Staten, club president. While all shows are open to the public, club members’ points are tabulated for yearend awards.

“There is no future in giving up.” That was the message of strength, courage and determination presented to college rodeo cowboys and cowgirls at the banquet of the K-State Rodeo Club in Manhattan.
Scholarships Awarded K-State Rodeo Team Looking To College Successes
The K-State Rodeo Women’s Team finished eighth and the Men’s Team 16th for the year in the Central Plains Region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association, according to Coach Casy Winn Women’s Team Captain Casey Adams, a senior, finished 10th in breakaway roping. Freshman Cheyenne Larson was 18th in barrel racing and 24th in breakaway.
