Cowboys are like horses are like cattle. How can that be many will question? One’s a person, and the others are animals.
Oh, they are closely intertwined, but yet each is entirely different, many contend.
The most dangerous sport participated in by man is getting even more treacherous.
Unlike days of yesteryear, when rodeo bulls from the Southwest rangelands threw cowboys off largely due to sheer size, strength and male prowess, today’s bulls are bred with the sole purpose of bucking off cowboys.

There are sadly too many seemingly who yet do not understand that frequently quoted statement during Independence Days celebrations throughout the country.

“I’ve been helping with the rodeo bulls raised by my dad and contracted for rodeos and bull riding contests ever since before I started school,” verified Ethan McDonald at Abilene.
Top cowboys from throughout the Midwest will verge on Manhattan this weekend to compete in the most danger sport participated in by man.
“It’s the annual K-State Invitational Bull Bash, Friday and Saturday evenings, Jan. 31, and Feb. 1, 7 o’clock, sponsored by the K-State Rodeo Club at Weber Arena on the Kansas State University campus,” announced Beth McQuade, rodeo club sponsor.
It’ll be a family affair for the bull riding series championship at Junction City.

Rodeo is becoming a more important part of Kansas State University.
