Bull Bash To Draw 30 Top Cowboys For Head To Head Clash With Outstanding Bucking Bulls

Top cowboys from throughout the Midwest will verge on Manhattan this weekend to compete in the most danger sport participated in by man.

“It’s the annual K-State Invitational Bull Bash, Friday and Saturday evenings, Jan. 31, and Feb. 1, 7 o’clock, sponsored by the K-State Rodeo Club at Weber Arena on the Kansas State University campus,” announced Beth McQuade, rodeo club sponsor.

“Thirty of the best bull riders from across the nation, as well as hundreds and hundreds of spectators will verge on campus for this exciting Western action for fans of all ages,” McQuade promised.

“There will be top ranked cowboys including high contenders in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association, the International Professional Rodeo Association, and even the Professional Bull Riders.

Purple Power was apparent at last year’s K-State Bull Bash in Manhattan, and there’ll be purple everywhere again Friday and Saturday evening, Jan. 31, and Feb. 1, when the bucking chutes open for this year’s Western action with 30 of the best cowboys in the Midwest on the world’s rankest, meanest bucking bulls.
“They’ll be in head to head competition with the outstanding cowboys on the rankest bulls in the world for the $5,000 bonus prize money added to entry fees for payback to the top score getters and the overall champion,” McQuade said.

“Friday, we will just buck a long-go round, and Saturday we will buck the second round and bring back the top 10 in the average to buck out the short-go round finals for naming of the winners and the big-money-collecting champion,” she explained.

Bull Bash Dances are set for RC McGraws in Manhattan following both evening performances.

Advance tickets are available at sharp discounts in several cooperating businesses.
