Family Show To Highlight Bull Riding Series Championship

It’ll be a family affair for the bull riding series championship at Junction City.

“Our three-month, six-performance DEL Motors Live Bull Riding competitions at Corey’s Country Corral have been so popular and successful that we’ve decided to make the Bull Riding Finals feature a full slate of activities on Saturday, Aug. 10,” announced Carl Corey at Corey’s Country Corral, located in Grandview Plaza, just off I-70, Exit 299.

“We’re planning two special programs, with a family show at 4 o’clock, and the finals for adults only at 8 o’clock,” explained Dee Corey.

For all of the family, there’ll be face painting, a mechanical practice bull, practice steer head roping, games, and prizes, in addition to food and drink specials.

“However, we really want this to be a special day, so we’re presenting real live calf riding for youth seven to 12 years of age, and mutton busting, actually real live sheep riding, for kids ages three to seven,” Dee emphasized.

“Don’t forget, there will also be real live bull riding in the afternoon, too, with all exhibition riders invited,” Carl interrupted.

A number of community businesses have offered exceptional support for the family show, and will be on site handing out coupons and samples. “We really appreciate the broad encouragement we’ve received for this important family-bonding affair,” Dee pointed out.

Doors open at 8 o’clock, for the DEL Motors Live Bull Riding Buckle Series Championship. Advance entries are requested.

“Top riders from throughout the series will be back to compete for our finals awards and prize money along with the opportunity to qualify for the 2013 Southern Extreme Bull Riders Association Nationals,” Carl said.

“We’ve had several world champions here, and they’ll all be back for the finals, again featuring world renowned livestock from McDonald Rodeo Company at Ava, Missouri,” Carl verified. “There’ll also be another session of competition for exhibition bull riders during the evening performance.”

In addition to the bull riding, there will be several Corey’s Country Corral evening specials offered, along with more games and prizes.
